Terrorism Timeline

Outline History of Terrorist Activity Targeting the U.S.

While the name al Qaeda is a household word in the U.S., the term Baluch still
means nothing to most Americans.  But, with the exception of one Iraqi, all the
known terrorists in this chart are ethnic Baluch.

This simply indicates how little attention we were paying to the very real threat of
terrorism, as it emerged throughout the 1990s -- and how poorly it is understood
even now.
