Study of
Revenge
A "Common Thread" from 1993 to 2001

"[A] common thread runs between the first attack on the World Trade Center in
February 1993 and the 11 September attacks
. . . .  [Khalid Shaikh Mohammed] is the
uncle of Ramzi Yousef, who masterminded the 1993 bombing plot against the
World Trade Center."

Testimony of CIA Director George Tenet, Joint Congressional Inquiry, June 18, 2002.
Study of Revenge
Study of Revenge is a book based on a painstaking
analysis of the evidence introduced by the prosecution
into the first World Trade Center bombing trial.
Published by American Enterprise Institute in October
2000, almost a year before the attacks of 9/11.

Views of the Lead Investigator in 1993 . . .

In 1993, Jim Fox was the head of FBI-NY (the lead investigative agency in the case):
“Although we are unable to say with certainty the Iraqis were behind the bombing,
that is certainly the theory accepted by most of the veteran investigators.”
— October 24, 1994, letter in support of Study of Revenge.

. . .  and the Lead Prosecutor of the 1993 WTC Bombing

Gil Childers, the lead prosecutor in the trial of the bombers, was the foremost expert in the
US government on the WTC bombing.  In his view, the research represented here is
work the U.S. government should have done.”   — October 2000, book panel for
Study of Revenge.

One "common thread" is obvious:  the World Trade Center was a target in 1993 and
again in 2001.

A second common thread is perhaps more significant.  The “mastermind” of the
2001 attacks has been officially identified as the uncle (and former co-conspirator)
of the mastermind of the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center.
